I'm still sitting on my invitation code... needing a nudge to actually implement it. I've heard some of the issues on this forum - specifically, negative impacts on page loading speed.

But, does anyone have success stories to share? Any interesting findings? What reports have you found the most useful?

The code added some cookie junk to the pagination links on a site I help manage, the problem was that users couldn't paginate following the addition of the Google Analytics code.

The graphs / charts / reports are AWESOME however, and if it didn't break the site, I would have left it there. Even knowing it was a user / usability issue in a big way, it took me more than a month to get up the courage to nuke it...pretty pictures are very addictive.

The detailed breakdown of the data and the graphs are great, but the downside is there is noticable increase in page loading time...If you decide to go with it dont add the JS code in the <head> block rather add it in the bottom of the page before </body> tag

Actually it would be great if google start a premium version with much better response time. I would gladly pay a couple of thousand dollars for it!

Hi,

GA has helped me increase my page-views-per-visit significantly, while also weeding out various unhelpful sources of traffic, both from AS and elsewhere.

Thanks for the feedback, all. Very appreciated.

Sounds useful, but was this the result of each of your tests? Ultimately, did the detriments outweigh the benefits?

Vey Well said...i really really want a premium hi-speed version of google analytics, donno why google thinks ad supported free service is the only online biz model that works.
