I have been lurking here for a while, but this is my first post.
At the beginning of February, I started re-routing my destination urls through my own script to record the details (including IP and my own cookie) of each click in a database.
Six weeks later I have now analysed the data, looking for multiple clicks by the same person (combination of IP and cookie). At this stage, I don't want to post data here as I am not sure how Google is about publishing this sort of data. But if people think it is ok, I will post a summary of my findings here - but the worst case I found was 55 clicks by the same person within an 11 day period!
Does anyone else analyse clicks this way and know what proof Google require to substaniate click fraud (I have dates, times, ips, my own cookie ids, plus other data from G's variables {creative} etc.)? How many visits within what time period would make G treat them as click fraud?
Has anyone managed to obtain refunds based on their own evidence or am I just wasting my time and I have to just accept this?
regards
David
