We had 3 text ads in this campaign, getting about 3-4% CTR. I added some new ads (on Wednesday) with different titles and descriptions to see ctr variances. Since I added the new 3 text ads, It looks like G is serving up the new ads a lot more than the old ones. The results for today: The new ads have a CTR of 1.8%, but got served 30% while the old ads got served 4% of the time. Obviously, 1.8% of 30% is generating much higher number of clicks than 4% of 4%, even though 4% of 4% have a higher CTR.
What is the lesson here? Is it that if you change ads frequently, the CTR rate become obsolete?
