Service Adjustment?

I am new to Adwords.
In my "Billing summary", i have been charged the activation fee (AUD$10) and under that i have a "Service Adjustment" -AUD$XX.XX
Is this a credit that google has given me?
I'm not sure why, but i'm not complaining - just curious.
Has anyone else had this? I used no promo codes or anything...

I believe it's an accounting adjustment - related to possible fraud clicks and the like.

It looks weird to me. As I believe service adjustments are usually only made after you have been advertising for a while. I thought only then G could decide the amount of questionable clicks. Have you already started advertising?

I have been advertising for 3 days.

Did you sign up with a promotional code? That might be the reason for your credit.

I normally find my service adjustments are a matter of pence rather than a matter of £s - but the only thing I can think of is that you've been unlucky and been hit by some idiots fraud click attempts.

Halbesma, ordinarily right next to the words 'Service Adjustment you'll see a question mark in brackets, like so: [?]

If you click on that question mark, you should be taken to a new window with a message that'll give you some basic info.

Service Adjustment - Google:

Adjustments to your account balance are itemised on the Billing Summary page, which is found under the My Account tab. Service adjustments may reflect promotional credits and courtesy credits applied by AdWords client services specialists.

It must be a "courtesy credit". It was over A$70, fairly generous of Google!
