Well I have tried the phone and have been sitting on hold for a while. I've also noticed that the live chat link is not up. Maybe someone forgot to set the phones for the day off. I wonder how many googlers will be sitting on hold today because of it?

Well their billing corrected it self some 9 hours later... quite a loss still.

When I called it said they were off for presidents day. Dumb holiday if you ask me. I don't know any companies outside of banks and govt that take that off.

Your loss is their loss, so hopefully they'll continue to work at fixing these type of issues.

Good luck.

had the same problem cost a couple of thousand in revenue. I just finished the TIME mag article talking about how many whiz kids are working for GOOG and find they can't build an online cc payment system...

here's a new formula :
take an online credit card payment > rocket science

BTW i complained and received a "complimentary credit" because the policy is not to refund for lost traffic.

The real rub for me was the fact that there was no phone or email support and our account was down for 18 hours. I can see this on New Years or Christmas but President's Day? I guess GOOG is beginning to operate more like the USPS rather than the world's most valuable company. Maybe they should buy ebay to get paypal since they have the payment thing figured out.

There definitely should be some support on holidays AND weekend. I dont know why they aren't doing anything about this, especially since so many people have already complained about this.

I've complained about it too several times and tried to tell them how it would be in their best interest to provide not only support but ad approvals around the clock.

If my ad has to wait 3 days to appear on the Search Network (or even appear at all) while it's in an approval queue, that's perhaps hundreds of clicks that they lose out on that they could have charged me for.

I don't expect them to increase staff for my benefit, but the unneccessary wait until ads fully appear costs them revenue that has to be more than the salary outlay for the added employees. Multiply that by tens of thousands of advertisers who change ads only to wait in queue.

I find it hard to believe they're missing the boat on that one.

It's bad enough that there are still many searched terms for which no ads appear because the minimum bids aren't practical for any advertiser, but to miss all these potential ad showings too!

I TOTALLY agree. Worse is that now it takes 3 days for ad approvals, even if its not the weekend. I'm sure it must be tough to get soooo many ads manually approved but they need to find a solution, for everyones benefit.
