Price fluctuations out of control

I can't be the only one. Avg. CPC 1 day is $4.50, very next day at same position $6.50. What the?

Any thoughts-recommendations how to combat this? I have a very good click-thru rate (over 10%). What's also weird is that over the last 4 months the higher the click thru rate, the higher the CPC prices I pay. I thought the opposite was supossed to be the case.

That would be per campaign - not per ad group, correct? If so, would you only have one ad group (with one kw) per campaign?

i think per campaign is safest, but by group might also work
