Hi,

I opened a Adwords account in early 2003 and have tried it several times but with little success. I guess I set my bid too low and may have resulted in very few impressions.

Recently I started again after gave a $25 dollar voucher. In fact they seem to have been giving me that every month for 2 months already. I've tried it and don't know if it works. Spend about $80 so far minus $50.

Well my questions are:
1) I've heard that if you start paying you somehow will find it difficult to get rank organically well. Is this true or just a myth?

2)If you get a very low click through %, your account will eventually be suspended! Is this a myth or truth?

3) If I bid $2.00 to the number 1 spot and gets a good clickthrough rate. I've heard that the number 1 spot will eventually become cheaper for me as my clickthrough rate is good. Is this a myth or truth?

4) Heard that click through the overture network bring in more actual sales than Google's. Is this true?

5)Heard that you almost never get to purchase the min price for a click (think it is 0.05 right?). Most of the time there will be no impressions or little and result in myth 2. Is this a myth or truth?

6) Say purchase a total of 1000 clicks through adwords. What is the percentage of sales conversion? (this is not a mythbuster question though)

Any mythbusting or clarification is welcome...

Myth. Speculations of paranoid people.

Keywords which result in very low CTRs are inactivated. If all your keywords become inactivated, your ad will not show. I don't think the actual account becomes suspended.

Mostly true. Or can be true in many cases. You still should have a well written ad to get a high CTR.

4) Heard that click through the overture network bring in more actual sales than Google's. Is this true?

Depends on the market, your site, your offerring. No general answer to that question.

Not sure I understand. It's up to you to measure the percent conversion. This value will vary widely. No general answer.
