My second day, and google disabled my gray widgets because I said "gray widgets from $49". They said I didnt display that offer in two pages but IT WAS on the landing page.
They goofed. Its not a big deal, I just changed a word and was back up, but if it happens again, I guess Ill contact them. Im a newb at adwords, but are all the reviewers so "error-prone"?

Welcome to Webmasterworld [webmasterworld.com]

forgot to say that earlier :)

Its all part of the learning curve, and am sure they dont usually do that bad, however if it happens again, be sure to raise it with them, only by getting feedback can they deliver the quality of service we expect.

The editorial staff are often quite incompetent I've found. I also found out they hire temporary people each week on their staff so those people have little training and experience and will be more prone to making mistakes when reviewing ads.

thats a new 1 to me.

I actually thought it was easier to get a job as a doctor or policeman, then to be employed by Google.

care to share some more...

Shak, I actually know a number of people on the AdWords editorial staff and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to be one (think about it - these people check for spelling, grammar and superlatives for most of the day!). Almost all of them are 20-somethings, many straight out of their undergrad, and many more totally oblivious to what their company does in the larger scheme of things.

However, since AdWords is growing so quickly they have to bring in new people all the time so they have this temporary program where new people come in each week and after several weeks (or months) they may be hired on a permanent basis.

Hmmm, maybe Google could get people to work offsite approving this stuff. I know there would be a lot of people willing to work. I mean, I wouldn't even take money, if they came and offered me 5 warrants to buy a share of Google stock at IPO price per hour or 5 warrants per dozen reviews, I would definetily take it.

I can see myself pulling 12 hour days during the weekend :D
