Yet another Google test... noticably larger than normal. Size-wise, similar to 14 pt. font bolded.

Ewwww, presumably a selective test; but do you mean that ONLY the highligted words are bigger; so your ad looks like:
BarginRed Widget Deals For all your Widget needs, including brilliant red ones! www.example.com
I kinda rely on people taking notice of the rest of the ad aswell as the keywords in order to whittle down interest and keep ROI up...!

Yes, the highlighted word was markedly larger than the rest... not as obscene looking as your example, but it was noticeable to anyone who looks at this stuff as much as us. Probably not as much to most folks who don't...
