Despite all the gripes, what a truly exciting time to be involved with Google Adwords. We are breaking ground here, people. We're still at the wee beginnings of what promises to be a very long and fun ride. Things just get more interesting every day. It's good to stop and realize this.

I'm with the OP on this one! And I *wish* I had Sergey's shares!

I mean, how else could I have started to gain hundreds of new users a day for a few dollars a day in a language I don't speak with precise geo targetting, all from the comfort of my sofa? Abso-bloody-lutely amazing! Oh, and pretty (and free) Analytics to tune the campaign to help increase conversions!

I had my share of cr*p with Adwords this year. But I fully agree with the OP. What an exiting time this is, enabling us to be in the amazing business of online advertising! To sell products to people all over the world, from the comfort of a laptop. Great stuff!

What a cool thread, poster-boy. My sincere thanks for starting it.

It actually gave me an authentic thrill, and here's why:

I well know that you have not always been happy with every element and nuance of AdWords and you have never hesitated to say so - which is to be admired. And, clearly, you also see how being an AdWords advertiser will bring you long-term advantage. That's what it's all about.

I can only agree that it'll be a long and fun ride, and my thanks to all who posted in this same spirit. It made my day. ;)
