I saw ads with phone number on Ad. I thought you couldn't do that. Is that practice allowed by Adwords?

If the call probably they don't click...

not sure on the phone number thing but, why would you want to do that anyway, unless it was in a very uncompetitive sector with none or only a couple of competitors doing adwords.

if they don't click - CTR= 0%
(Highly unlikely to have the above as someone will click on the ad whether the phone no is there or not)

max cpc x 0 = 0

so the ad would eventually drop down and down, making you raise the mac cpc to keep the position.

so if you have no competition it may work, but i wouldn't do it to be honest. just my opinions there.

Yes, you can do it. Opinion varies as to why you would want to, but hey... search the forums for a list of the arguments!

Other reasons not to do it - it reduces relevence, it takes away from the few words available to present your message.

A good reason: free adverstising. You pay 0 and you are all over the net ;)
