Ive just noticed google a playing with a new ad format for premium posotions, it appears to have character limit of 100 per line and 2 lines.

anybody seeing this.?

P.S. the ad is by an affilaite direct to merchant and there are 2 ads with the same display url which are both affilates directed to same merchant.

Ad looks like this:

widgetsRus www.widgetsRus.com
Welcome to Widgets - this is the biggest ad line ive seen for widgets in a long time, Happy.
Its that long i think i may struggle to fill it with the widget news letter i just sent out.

It's a new feature that Google are beta testing. They email advertisers with the "opportunity" to test out longer adtexts on certain keywords.

They emailed me for one of my accounts (and only one keyword phrase for that account) and asked me to provide text for 100 char, 140 char and 200 char ads. I've done this, just as I did the other beta test, but I've never yet seen any of them run, and since the results don't show up in the admin (they're just folded in with the normal stats, not separated out) I have no idea if ANYONE is seeing them or if they are effective at all.

They emailed us a few times to test out this new feature, but we declined. The chance to have an adtext which we can't manage, edit or even see in the stats, that may or may not be shown at some point in the future, was* just too tempting.
