For stupid reasons, I think my bank trying to protect me, they declined the charge for the adwords bill.
It costed my account being pause until I corrected it by entering my old working credit card.
It would be all this avoided if, like PayPal, they allowed to have multiple or backup credit cards associated with your account.
I can imagine of other problems related to this happening to others. I can't think a reason of why adwords billing is so primitive.

Yup... Same thing happened to me a few days ago. Credit Card was declined at 1:00am in the morning due to fraudulous activity. I was asleep and didn't notice till around 8:30am. I had to temporarily switch back to my old credit card.

I put this in the requested features thread a while back - I had continual problems with a card. It's ridiculous that such a basic feature isnt added.

Another function should be the ability to make individual addition payments so that there is at least a reserve 'emergency' fund if a card gets declined.

Overture seems to manage these things without issue.

..and with perfect timing, AGAIN it is declined for no reason, and AGAIN my adverts were offline (thankfully for only half an hour this time) because there is no backup card or funds. Ridiculous.

I would be a lot more unhappy with the credit card company then with Google.

You would if it wasn't an issue with the credit card company. I'm not going into detail about it, but its an issue with Google, not the credit card company. The point wasn't the declined card, but that there is no safeguard for such issues.
