Google has lowered the CPM for the content network to 25 cents. I thought i'd give it a shot and spent a grand this evening and let it run. When i came back a few hours later everything looked good, lots of traffic etc.

When i checked the number of "supposid" clicks i was getting with my actual logs i found that for some sites i was only getting 10% of what was being reported in google, for a few sites it was close to 80%. On average i recieved 60% of what google said i should get. Keep in mind my stats are in real time and the google stats are a few hours delayed. I suspect i'm getting about 40% of the traffic that google says i'm getting.

I suspect google google has turned off fraud detection for CPM ads and now we can see how truely wide spread it is.

Yeah it's crazy. Fortunately we are using a content network tracking system like you're doing, that tracks not only clicks but also conversions back to the original content site/domain that sent the click. That way we are able to immediately see the quality - or lack thereof - of the traffic from each individual content site. It's priceless.

So, keeping this 50%+ click fraud in mind, do you still think the $ 0,25 per 1.000 impessions is a good price?
