Why would someone buy an adword ad that points to a page of overture?

I'm new to this whole thing and am trying to understand it the best I can.

Basically, I was looking at a competitor (i.e. someone who has a site with adsense ads on the same topic as mine) and was researching their adsense ads (right clicking of course!) and noticed that the adsense ad went to a page of overture links that were "search results" on the same topic.

Clearly there must be something to this otherwise this person wouldn't do it.

I can provide a link to the overture search results if you'd like but wasn't sure if that was koshure on this site.

Well i know in my niche i pay 3 cents for an adwords ad. What is overtures minimum bid, 10 cents? I see an easy doubling of investment over time with the scenario you describe.

I have maybe 10 of this in the URL filter.

Bringing my visitors to resellers lowers the CTR,
because it's frustrating to come to a page without real offer.

"....a page of overture links that were "search results" on the same topic.

overture links to credit cards or other 'expensive' keywords brings few $ per click on them for the owner of that site - so here is the answer to your question.

Just from this I've got another question - how to get those overture links in the first place to create your own website :) but its a big secret.... and this msg would be shortly deleted....
