Beside Google, where else should I be?

I've found AdWords to be an effective regional advertising medium for my mom & pop restaurant. Good CTR and conversions. No complaints there. But I'd like more online advertising exposure in addition to AdWords.

What's the best way to increase online advertising presence while still running AdWords?

I've heard that Google produces the most conversions for the advertising buck. Is that true? Is any other service comparable? I have tried Yahoo and got poor CTR.

Thanks for any advice.

George

yahoo is pretty good, but it works very different than google, i think if you get the hang of it, you can really make a ton of money on yahoo, especially with the absence of a quality score.

also i would suggest directory sites are VERY VERY good for restaurants, but some can be expensive.

if you call them up, ask for a hard copy of their traffic reports, i dont believe anything sales reps say over the phone, especially considering i actually headed up one such department with some of the most unscrupulous sales people ever (why i quit)

How do you conert adword ads to conversions for a restaurant?

Do you sell product online or offer some kind of coupon if they click thru and present something when they come to your restaurant?

coupons work very well, but u need a way ot trackin them, and try not to use them over and over again.

of course up scale places dont need to advertise as much, but still, restaurants not advertising on the net are quite frankly stupid.

its one of the most searched for things, especially on directory sites (it is the most searched for thing on pretty much every major directory site.)
