Here is the question again.

Do you recommend having the "content' box checked when placing Google Adwords "Ads?"
I am not doing "adsense"

Theres no answer to this, the only way to know if content will convert for you is to test it. Some markets will convert with content, some wont. Its impossible to say until you try it.

I would concentrate on getting your compaigns profitable using search only, then switch on content and see what happens, just watch it carefully as you could get many clicks in a short period.
