Hi everyone,
am just curious to know what you guys pay, related to how big your company is.
I've just set up and it's recommending £70 which seems very high. (Will this be due to popular keywords?)

TIA, j

I believe the daily budget advise is rather nonsensical. I just set the budget per campaign myself, ignoring the Google recommendation. Since I receive far less clicks than I wish for, my total daily budget is much higher than my advertsing spendings. I am just a beginner so we're just talking about some coins a day here...

Hi

I personally run anything from GBP1 to GBP100 a day per campaign depending on what I'm testing, conversion rate, etc. And that's VERY small beer compared to what some people are spending.

hi,

we run about 12 different campaigns. some have $10 per day and one of them had $5000 per day for a while to test out the max limits. saying that, the 5k one didn't add up to 150k that month, we just wanted to see what google's limits were with this campaign.

jazzle, essentially, the daily budget that the AdWords system suggests to you is a budget that would be sufficient for your ad to show most of the time, given your keyword list. So, yes, suggested daily budget is highly related to your keyword list.

If the budget seems too high, then you may want to consider:

* minimizing your keyword list to include only those keywords which are most important to you

* avoiding really 'obvious' keywords, which tend to be more competitive (because more people are likely to be using them)

* avoiding very general keywords, and especially single-word keywords

* making sure that your ads and keywords are highly targeted to each other. This can lower your Cost Per Click (CPC), which will give you more clicks for a given budget.

At the bottom line, I'd never suggest setting your daily budget higher than you feel comfortable paying, as you learn the ropes with AdWords.

As you gain more experience, it is also very wise to carefully track your results, to make sure that you are making a profit. And if you are making a profit, then your daily budget becomes less of a concern.

By this I mean that if you have fine-tuned your account so that you are making lots more money than you spend, then spending more is also likely to make you more.

AWA? Izat you? If so, welcome back. If not, then i wasn't talking to you. :-P

When you say that, do you mean using the keyword in the ad title or ad text? Just wondering.

Yo AWA,

While you were away, we have been partying all night long! Dr. X brought the booz, Damon played the guitar and Ann has been dancing on the table!
We cleaned all the mess just in time!

Hey!

I don't play guitar: I leave that to Tony Blair.

Must have been some other good-looking d00d! Bv<

Damon,

Don't tell me it was Ann playing the guitar and you dancing on the table wearing a dress?

Hi,

Ahem, that would explain my sore feet and the curious strap-marks on my arms.

Do I remember absinthe being brought out? No, must have been a nightmare.

But Ann sure plays mean guitar, even if she does look like Tony Blair after a few pints, or maybe I was wearing someone else's glasses.

So much for a quite night in with WW...

Jazzle

I spend about 100 dollars a day, and in principle would spend 100,000 a day if that brought me traffic which was profitable. For that reason I always go very high on the daily budget - if its worth advertising then its worth advertising as much as possible.

However, I have a product that is not really limited in availability, or it might be different.

Is it worth it - thats another question!
