Is the new system fully operational?

Confusion reigns

OK - I've started the process of fixing all my Inactive words, but I read in these forums recently that the new system is just a test. Should I proceed with the meticulous work or wait? And wait for what exactly? G is definitely not going to go back to the old system. I'm rather confused by many of the posts.

One other thing - I was using the Budget Optimization Tool. But when I went into my account, the Inactive KW showed up only when I disabled the Optimization Tool. What if I simply kept it in place? Are the Inactive Words still Inactive?

Inquire, the new system is now live - so what you're seeing is the real thing, and not a test.

I think getting to the bottom of this would require a look at the account itself, so I'd advise contacting AdWords support from within the account, being sure to mention the campaign in question.

Try calling

1-866-2google

It's easier to explain your situation on the phone than through email.

If that doesn't help, I'll give you AWA's home phone number to try (only kidding!)

Thanks you two. I've now gone thru the entire account, following the instructions given to us by Google. By deleting poorly performing keywords, I now have considerably less words overall, (which from reading previous post here, I understand is a good thing), but a minimum bid that has increased by five cents or more (not a good thing). On the otherhand, the bottom line is that my stats for yesterday and my daily expenditure is more or less the same as it was before all the changes, (although admittedly, one day is not much of a test run).

But when I went into the account campaigns this morning, I found Google had new keywords that were flagged and needed to be dealt with (I dealt with all of them that were flagged yesterday). My question is: Is this business about increasing quality, deleting, or increasing the bid, going to be an ongoing, daily maintenance issue? If so, what a royal pain! Other, simpler PPC programs are starting to look more and more inviting....
