max number of campaigns, adgroups...

did this change?

I found an old post by AWA that said:

* Max recommended keywords for a single Ad Group: 750
* Max recommended number of Ad Groups in a Campaign: 100
* Max recommended keywords for a campaign, inclusive of all Ad Groups: 2000
* Max number of campaigns per account: 25
* Max recommended keywords for an account: 50,000 (25 campaigns x 2000 keywords = 50,000)

I tried to add an ad group today and got a message saying that I can't go over 50 in a campaign. Has there been a change in number of ad groups allowed?

I don't have actual figured here, but if my memory serves me correctly, the numbers you have posted are not innacurate. AWA might be able to give precise numbers. Also, a G or WW search can probably get you the same thing.

I did search. Couldn't find anything on G for some reason and the list I posted is what I found on WW so that's why I'm asking if it has changed. Still waiting on support to get back to me about the problem. Maybe they will point out my error.

I must have bork Google again. :-P

I can only have 50 adgroups in my campaigns. Haven't tried more campaigns though. Maybe I should use that as a work around until I can figure out what I'm doing wrong.

It appears that's unless you were grandfathered in from earlier rules. I just created AdGroup #179 in a campaign. I have another campaign with 338 AdGroups for a total of about 600 AdGroups in 12 active campaigns. I've stopped adding to the campaign with 338, BTW.

Similarly, I'm alloted 50,000 keywords even though it appears newer advertisers get capped at 15,000.

I doubt this is because they like me. It would simply be disasterous to ask one to scuttle 1/2 - 2/3 of their work to conform to new rules.

I think they really like you. Earlier this year I had to get rid of about 30,000 keywords when the new or revised limit kicked in.
