It is annoying. I just launched my new campaign with several adgroups with some keywords in each adGroup. but Google shows my entire keywords in onHold state. I have bid what goole suggested for maximum CPC. and daily budget is high . I am totally frustrated and don't knwo what to do.

Give it a day or two, they may get "tried out" and come off "hold". I see it happen a lot.

I had about 50 on hold a week ago. I didn't change anything and now there are only 3 on hold.

If they don't move, try keyword phrases more targeted to what you advertise. What goes "on hold" tends to be the more general keywords in my experience. Especially vague, 1 or 2 word combos. They often are words that many novices have bid on and couldn't maintain a decent CTR.

If you haven't already, try different matching options too.

Good Luck!

You know, My keywords are not general 1-2 words and they are specific and I have also used matching options. I tried to remove the keywords and the adgroup and created again. Some of keywords chnaged their status to Normal. I am totally confused and I think that there is a glitch in Google Adwords system. Maybe I am wrong
