I started my ad at 0.05$ bid, but with 1 ad impression a day I had to change the bid to 0.5$ , but with no luck, was getting only 1 click a day, now for 48 hours i have bidded to 1$ it estimates 7 clicks a day, but the google traffic estimator shows 2,700 clicks a day for my current keyword and bid.
Do goole need me to bid 100$ to get good traffic? If such is the case then i will have to move to an alternaive Yahoo.

first and foremost, never EVER trust googles estimates, they are 99.99% of the time WILDLY incorrect.

here is a better thing do to see how many competitors there are for your keyword, and how many impressions you are getting. if you are in position 1-8 there can be a lot of reasons you are getting low impressions, not the least of which is that there simply are not that many searches for your word, but can also be your daily budget limit is severly limiting your amount of impressions. if you have $1 bid, and a daily budget of $5 then your impressions will be very very low, keep that in mind.

i try to keep my daily budget approximately 10 times what my actual budget is, then check it a lot the first few days, and adjust as needed.

thats just me though.

I am fairly new to adsense, but what inferno said seems to be correct. I put my max budget way higher then i expect to spend, and it increased my clicks dramatically.
