Has anyone tried it or care to speculate?

Google Adwords has a offer to create my campaign, it’s offered at the link below:
[adwords.google.com...]
Has anyone try this service or care to speculate on its value? I’m soon starting a campaign for a new company/product and considering it for at least its personal entertainment value. My negative keyword list is massive. My keyword list is rather small. I have my guestimation CPC that should rank me in my target range of 3rd to 7th place. I expect to spend one grand to establish a baseline the first month. I’m very curious as to what they might come up with. However I do not want to waste my time with it if community input reveals a blatant attempt to burn my campaign $ via broad match and top CPC price. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

I don't have any experience, but I tend to think that you are always going to understand your business, its customers and effective sales methods better than they do. However, they will certainly understand how to use the adwords system better than you. So, it is really a matter of if you are willing to learn about the system. I see this sort of service beong valuable for "mom and pop's widget shop" where ma-widget is only internet savvy enough to check her email, but not really to understand the internet marketplace or ppc model.
However, for a relatively savvy user, it seems like it would be a waste of money to me.

SpyderWeb, please take my post for what it's worth to you, given that I happily work at AdWords. But in my (fully informed) view, the Jumpstart team is interested in helping new advertisers to set up AdWords account that reflect the advertiser's objectives, limitations, and means. And they are entirely open to your input on this.

In fact, they count on it.

Jumpstart is primarily designed for those who don't want to actually create the account on their own, but who are prepared to assume the management of the account once created - as Jumpstart accounts are not managed by Google. So, whether you create the account yourself, or have it created - it'll still fall to you to manage the account, monitor your results, make any changes, and just generally work to make sure it is meeting your needs.

All that said, your post hints at the sort of sophistication that makes me think perhaps you'd be happier setting up your own account. Your mention of a ton of negative keywords, for example, puts you well ahead of a great many who use Jumpstart.

Either way, I wish you the best of success with AdWords, should you chose to try it.

AWA it is always an honor to have a response from you.

In light of Adwords recent changes in giving a simple “active” & “inactive” status, instead of the now old “Trial, On Hold, & Disabled mess”. Everything has changed. I had a rather few targeted keywords because of the fear having to deal with these now old status conditions. Now it appears I can expand my keyword list further without being locked down and out.

Googles’ JumpStart service might have offered a way to approved keywords, but now everything appears approved at a price.
