I just want to know what does "reseller" means (related to adwords in google..). I came to know that we can place customer's adds as adwords in some sites like google. But donno how to become a reseller and how to get a client/customer. I joined this forum especially to know about this.
And also I heard that we will be paid whenever the ad's are clicked by somebody. So please clear my doubts about how to become and register as a reseller.

Thanking you,
hari

Hi mailforhari,

Welcome to Webmaster World.

I can't answer your question, but, seeing that you joined WW just for that purpose, I thought I'd bump this up to see if anybody else could give it a shot.

This is a U.S. centric post. There are other countries that have various rules with regards to media buying that may change how certain billings are handled.

There are basically four levels of AdWords users:

1. Resellers. These are companies selling AdWords on behalf of Google. At present, there is only one reseller of AdWords that I'm aware of, Bellsouth [webmasterworld.com]. This deal is based on Guaranteed Clicks [webmasterworld.com].

2. Affiliates. These are people who receive a commission when someone signs up with AdSense or AdWords through their affiliate link or channel.

3. Agencies. These are companies who represent clients and serve as the middle man between AdWords and Clients.

4. Individual Users. This group logs directly into their accounts (and sometimes through an MCC), and handles the advertising themself.

Of course, you also have agency resellers and affiliates as well, making the possible levels of how certain relationships are handled a bit more convoluted.
