Just had my first Adwords Chat. You get the option to chat with a support representative now instead of just email support.

I had an issue with my ads getting disaproved for 'Destination URL Not Working'. The destination URL was entered correctly so must have been a spell of downtime. But because I didn't change anything in my ads, they wouldn't re-submit for review.

So 5 minutes on the chat line and as soon as I hang up, all ads now back online and ready for review again. And my representative said they would be reviewed within the hour.

How long would that normally have taken to get resolved via email support? Thoroughly impressed.

Thanks for this really positive report, Paul_N, which really made my day when I first saw it.

I actually sent it along to the whole chat team, who got a kick out of it too. You were even quoted in a team meeting today!

(Folks around here take what is said on WebmasterWorld pretty seriously...)

Thanks for asking elsewhen. ;)

Yes, it is in early stages right now, and available on a limited basis. Here's some info about it from the AdWords Help Center:

This will be a great thing. I will have to try to use it once I stumble upon a problem (outside of the new Adwords algo of course). If this is as quick and efficient as Paul_N says then I will have no further qulams with Google Support!

And I thought G's help pages were written by a computer algo. :-) because I hadn't ever spotted a spelling mistake.

At the chat help page quoted above:

"Currently, chat is availble"

You have a sharp eye there, GrantNZ! I've read that info a half dozen time in the past week, and I never even noticed the typo.

Fixed now, though - thanks.
