International trademarks

Hi guys, I have a question regarding Google's stance on international trademarks. Over the past few months I have found some really good italian keywords that have converted well into sales on my international store, but on sunday I had the CPC of one of those words skyrocket so I had to pause the campaign and since I have unpaused it later that day (I didn't change the ads at all) I haven't gotten any impressions on a few words in the group, yet others do just well. Now these are general italian vocab words so I am pretty sure that they are not trademarks (it doesn't help that I have no way of finding out for sure :/) but I don't know because Google has yet to respond to my email, but if they are could this be the reason they are not triggering my ads? Could it be cause I simply paused the campaign that I am no longer able to use some possible trademarks and that they had been grandfathered in for some reason? I mean I doubt if I hadn't paused the campaign anything would have happened but now I am worried that Google might claim that these keywords are trademarks even though they were working just fine on Sunday.

This doesn't sound like a trademark issue to me, ucdawg12, but there isn't really much information here to go on. And trademark issues are truly handled on a case-by-case basis. So I hope that AdWords support will have your answer for you soon.

For more background information on trademark policy, you might find the following pages useful. The second of the two pages will link you to the most detailed info.
