A lot of my targetted audience do use quotes with their search.

Let's say

"blue widgets"
"blue widgets" + sale
"blue widgets" discount

Is there anyway I could add a keyword that that triggers the ad only when the quotes are included in the search?

I don't know a lot, but I would say that if all you want to use is phrase terms, then use them and don't put any broad or exact terms. If I am wrong, then I hope someone corrects me...

i am not aware of a way to do this, but are you certain that a significant number of people are using quotes in their searches. i was always under the impression that only a small percentage of searchers use these advanced techniques. (i often do, but i thought i was in the minority)

and if someone searches for "blue widget" and you are targeting [blue widget] your ad will be invoked.

are you saying that you want to attract searchers of: "blue widget" but NOT of: blue widget

There was a thread a while ago (sometime last year) about how Google renders nonstandard characters. In some cases, it ignores them, in other cases it considers them a seperate word.

(i.e. Non-standard and non standard are the same word, but non/standard is considered a different word - been a while since I've tested the above, so that example might be off).

Last time I tested, " & ' invoked different SERP results, but not different AdWords ads (even if it's a single keyword). Therefore, I don't think you can advertise to someone only using quotes.
