We do monthly reporting for our PPC clients. I'd like to know how important management reporting is to your campaigns, how often these reports are required and what information generally is needed?

Most clients get monthly reports showing campaign, adgroup, keyword, match, impressions, clicks, cost, CPR, and ave. position. Those clients who use conversion software get another monthly report showing conversions. I also use charts in my monthly reports that start with the month before I took over the account and show clicks and spending month to month.

Monthly client reports are as important to me as they are to my clients. I use them to look for problems, overspending, poorly performing keywords, etc.

Internally, I do a report daily that shows client daily spending and I have a spreadsheet that keeps up with client budget goals so that I can see if I need to make bid adjustments up or down. I will also run monthly reports on Ad performance and make adjustments or test new ads if necessary.
