Is it possible to show your ads for key phrase only?

i have a client for whom i need to run a campaign for a particular key phrase only eg. Quick brown fox jumping over lazy dog is the key phrase. He doesn’t want his ads for Quick dog or quick lazy dog etc. He wants his ads to be displayed only "Quick brown fox jumping over lazy dog"

How can i achieve this? Is it advisable? Do i need to add this keyword with quotes in AdWords?

Thanks

following Shak's advice, by putting the keyphrase in square brackets, will do exactly what you want. you don't need to do anything else... square brackets inform google that you only want an EXACT match.

as far as whether it is advisable... it is fine, but unless it is a very commonly-searched keyphrase, you aren't likely to get much traffic.

another option would be:

"what ever EXACT phrase you want"

this would show for the exact phrase, and also for something like:

buy "what ever EXACT phrase you want" online

Thanks elsewhen,

Does this mean i have to contact AdWords support after adding this exact phrase in square brackets?! At present when i am adding them the keyword automatically shows its status as On Hold in AdWords.

"On Hold" status is an entirely different issue... if you scroll down to the bottom of your adgroup page, you will see the definition of "On Hold":

On hold - The ad(s) for this keyword are not being shown and don't meet our quality threshold. They will be shown in trial when more space becomes available.

in other words, you will have to rewrite your ads, or choose more relavent keywords.

I have had problems with "on hold" or disabled terms when a keyword is TOO specific and there is a good chance it has never received any impressions or clicks before on the Google system. In every case, that keyword was already covered by a broad or phrase term already.

Thanks for replies,

Actually i received on hold for the key phrase due to my targeted nation i.e. India. The key phrase classified as Family Safe keyword in this area so one manual review from AdWords editor excepted in 48 hrs before it goes live.

Hope this helps to others.
