Okay so i made a new account on google and let it run a week with little ads. so i move in a new/larger campain and fire it up, goes good words having 2% ctr couple thousand imps per word.. life is grand.. then couple days later.

alot of my good performing woords goto zero Impressions.. zip nada nothing. their status "normal" nothings changed just my good words are now getting absolutly ZERO impressions and my words that were doing very little are getting alot of clicks and their impressions to follow.

Spudstr, getting to the bottom of this would really require a look at the account, so I'd suggest contacting AdWords support. They'll be able to tell you just what is going on.

A few thoughts in the meantime, given that your keyword status sounds like it's normal:

* Have the ads been reviewed and disapproved? (There will be a message under the ads at the Ad Group level - or you can use the 'Disapproved Ads' tool, available from the 'Tools' link on Campaign Management pages.)

* Have you raised your Max CPC to be higher than your Daily Budget? If so, the ads won't run.

* Have the ads been accidentally deleted? (This can happen when advertisers hit the wrong button while trying to delete keywords.)

* Are you looking at an appropriate 'Date Range'?

I've only been back on AdWords, after a couple year hiatus, for a couple weeks and I agree with this post and others, that there are some strange traffic numbers being reported.

Last Thursday I checked in at 7:30am EST to find that my yesterday volume was half what it was the previous day and today volume was zero. By 8:30, yesterday was up 50% and today was off and running. I wondered if Google was having some data collection problems.

I've also seen some questionable fluctuations in daily volumes and CTR, but I still haven't been into this stuff long enough to know whether such fluctiations are normal or not. My status as a new account may account for some of it, but not the traffic I saw on Thursday.

That brings us back asking for more transparency!

Everybody would benefit from this, including Google, as they won't need to answer customer's emails asking what's going on.

i mean come on, atleast throw it into a "in trial" or a "pending review" status
