Well, I have heard many times over that it is very important to start each day with a positive affirmation, so here goes nothing... "I Suck at Google Adwords"!

I have been trying to get my numbers right for a while now, but I just cant seem to get things to work. I'm either paying too much or not getting enough traffic for it to be worth it.

I'm thinking about calling it quits with adwords and just sticking with Yahoo Search Marketing which seems to be working fine.

Unless... Someone knows some "allowable" resources or a general direction to lead me in that might assist with this dillema.

I'm hoping the following reply starts with: "I know how you feel, i felt the same way, what I found is...."

I've had similar (excellent) results with both programs. You may simply need a minor tweak with creative, bidding, keywords, or targeting. I've found that content matching (the AdSense network) gets me 3-4 avg position with minimal cost. I also test all ad text -- simple to do, and very effective.

Now repeat after me: "My AdWords campaigns are wildly profitable" :)

Feel free to "sticky mail" me with details.

Sorry you're having a rough go of it recordc48. One thing, though, is that AdWords and YSM work in very different ways - so it'd probably be pretty frustrating to try to get AdWords to work seamlessly by doing the same things that work on YSM.

Before you throw in the towel, I hope you'll try these things:

* Check out the free AdWords Learning Center here: [google.com...]

* Write to AdWords support from within your account, and ask for specific advice. Be sure to give some details about what your objectives are, etc. Otherwise it's much more difficult to assist. Your response may be a few days coming, but it is well worth asking for this type of help IMO.

Best of luck with this!
