Hi all, thanks to whoever created this forum, I have been racking my brains out for the past 24hrs. trying to figure out what is wrong with my newly created ad campaigns.

I signed up/registered/paid yesterday, and started 1 campain with 2 variations of ads. I used exact phrases ("blue widgets") for my target audience.

I deleted any keywords that were not normal (green light) and the campaign is active.

The ads aren't appearing using those keywords, and they aren't bringing any impressions.

I sent adwords support my request and they sent me the templated email back, but i verified everything... even the ads diagnostic tool is spitting back to me "You have no ads that match the search term "blue widgets"" -even though I clearly do!?

Only thing I can think of is that my target audience is very niche, quite small, not much competition, but there are some competitors using the same keywords.

Any suggestions?
I emailed Adwords support twice, and I'm coming up with a big doughnut hole here...

thanks again!
Mike.

It could be the reason.Try to see if your selected keywords have been disabled or if they are "pending".
Otherwise try to use them as non-exact match removing the " ".

Most common reasons ads aren't shown:
[webmasterworld.com...]

If you're using 'sensitive' keywords (i.e. baby, children, guns, etc) in ad copy or keyword list, often Google puts these on hold until they can manually review and approve them.

If you asked for an exception when creating your ads, you have to wait for manual review.

I would also check your campaign settings to see if you're geotargeting a small area that might not receive many searches and review your language settings.

If all else fails, give Google a call and ask for assistance.

yes, my ad target group is mothers with babies/toddlers. so perhaps this could be it... however i just figured adwords would put my keywords on hold, not give them a normal status...

Oh hold is part of an algorithm for keywords. Your keywords have no history (and might not even be approved), so don't fall into that category.

What needs to happen is for Google to manually review and approve your ads and/or keywords.

I'd suggest writing back to them and letting them know that you feel your keywords/ads are under review for being considered sensitive material, and that you'd like to know when they expect to finish the review so your ads can go live.

Considering the hour of the day on Friday, you'll probably see your ads showing before you get a reply to that email.

From experience with similar terms, if you submitted them on Thursday, you'll probably see them show Monday or Tuesday. For some reason, it takes longer to review "sensitive" keywords than it does a "pending approval" ad.

There are a huge array of keywords considered sensitive, I've scratched my head over the reasoning behind some of them. However expect "silence" and zero impressions until they are approved.

I got the same problem, any of my ads are not showing and no reply from Google Supporter.
May I ask some of you to look at my campaign(I'll give you my Adwords email and password) and tell me what's possibly happening?

Go to Tools and try the "Ads Diagnostic Tool" and tell us what it reports.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, Ikimazuki!

I got the same problem, any of my ads are not showing and no reply from Google Supporter. May I ask some of you to look at my campaign(I'll give you my Adwords email and password) and tell me what's possibly happening?

I'm sure that AdWords support will get back to you before too long - assuming that you have used the 'Contact Us' link in your account, or the adwords-support@google.com email address. (Any other email address will really slow the response time down.)

Also, I'd suggest treating your AdWords account email and password as 100% confidential. Even on a forum as truly excellent as this one, it's probably not the best idea to give others access to your account. After all, this is your money (and possibly even your livelihood) we're talking about here. ;)

@patient2all: I have used Ads Diagnostic Tools but it returned "You have no ads that match the search term...." :((
@AdWordsAdvisor: I mailed them 2 mails and still no answer, Will I have to wait for weeks to get a reply? :(
BTW, thanks for your advise, patient2all seems to be honest :)
