Google has Ad Links [webmasterworld.com] being published on content sites.

The search box on AdSense sites is considered part of the search network.

Has anyone looked into this new product to see which program it's part of?

This is an example of adlinks

AdLinks by Google
-----------------
blue widgets
red widgets
special widgets
foreign widgets
other widgets

If users click on the adlinks, they will be brought to a page containing related ads relating to the topic they select. A click on Adlinks won't cost any for the advertisers. Some one has mentioned that the ad page is similar to

[google.com...]

Thus, Adlinks is not much difference from "AdSense for search". It's designed for the lazy users who don't want to make a search. I believe it will be considered part of the search network.

I'll run down some details on this, eWhisper, and post again later.

By the way, some of you may have noticed that I've been posting much later in the day recently (sometimes with a first post as late as 6:00 pm) - and that I've also posted less overall for the past few days. This'll likely to be the case for the next couple of weeks, and then my posting will return to normal (whatever that is!)

My role has shifted a bit here, and until I've come up-to-speed, I simply have a lot less time to be here on WebmasterWorld. The really good news, though, is that once I am up-to-speed, I'll be even better able to send your feedback to the right folks. I'll be working more directly with a lot of them, which I think is pretty cool.

So thanks for understanding if I've been less 'present' than in the past. It won't be the case for long.

Alrighty then - I've had my initial thought confirmed: clicks to the ads (shown after an AdLinks link has been clicked) will be in the content network.

One other thing that is probably already clear, but is still worth confirming: a click on a link in the AdLinks box is not charged to the advertiser, as pointed out by FromRocky. It is only a click on the ads themselves that are charged for.
