Is this a huge coincidence or is this company generating their own product demand?

Has this happened to anyone else?

The email came from a company called <site removed>

It doesn't surprise me, although they'd be fools if they did such a thing. Most likely it's a coincidence.

Can you track the fake IP's to their server, host or network?

Try <site removed> - free trial for a limited time.

Sounds mafia-like. You can protect yourself from fraudulent clicks, or we can break your legs. :)

I really hope that company wasn't dumb enough to do the clicks themselves.

hahahaha... how best to "retaliate" against a click fraud detection company than implicate them in click fraud? hahahahahahahahaha.

Not unlike the Whois I see for many super-spammy sites: they put in Google, with full accurate Google contact info.
