I probably have too many campaigns going to start up, but anyway I have to drill down through each of them and re-sort according to keyword status...go back to the top of the campign drill down re-sort... took me a half hour to find the one word on trial!
Is there a way to go directly to problem words? This is tedious!

jazzylee77, welcome to WebmasterWorld!
To see all of your 'in trial' keywords quickly, I'd suggest running a report in your Report Center (look for the tab labeled 'Reports' near the top of Campaign Management pages) set up to show only 'in trial' keywords.
BTW, just below is a link to an AdWords FAQ page with tons of links to more info about what you can do with Reports. I think you'll find this tool to be quite useful.

Just a quick note on this.
We all know that you can only have so many in trial keywords at once, and that deleting in trial keywords can free up on hold keywords.
I agree running a report is the best way to find them - however, you won't find them if they've not had any impressions.
This goes directly to a point raised last week of seeing keywords with 0 impressions in a time frame.

An excellent point, eWhisper, and quite correct. (And also an excellent argument for including zero impression keywords in reports.)
Thanks for adding that!

[deleting in trial keywords can free up on hold keywords]
So if I have an ad group with both 'in trial' KWs and 'on hold' KWs, I need to delete 'in trial' words?
I've read the threads yesterday, deleted all 'in trial', 'on hold' and 'disabled' KWs and created new ad groups or campaigns to put those KWs. But today most of them are disabled, on hold or in trial again. Some of them have very few impression, like less than 10. What shall I do?
1. Delete all the 'on hold', 'in trial' keywords, and save them to an excel file.
2. Add 2-3 AdGroups with 10-50 of your 'in trial' keywords in each one. You want to pick these words based off of how you think they'll preform (put the best ones in first) and how much you really want to target this work (i.e. the direct words for your industry).
3. As these manageable amount of KWs go from 'in trail' to normal, you can continue to add more KWs to your account in such a manner.
4. As you grow an account to have more normal KWs, AdWords allows you to have more 'in trial' KWs as well. Better preforming accounts are rewarded in this way with more total active KWs.
By adding KWs in steps, and not dumping thousands onto the system at once, you can control which keywords are in trial and are showing as opposed to waiting for keywords to just come out of 'on hold'.
Here's an old post (so different algos applied at the time), which still seems relevant today in terms of creating accounts:

Please try out the tip below, and tell me if it works for you - in terms of finding 'in trial' keywords, even with zero impressions. I think it will. This is a tip that a colleague just sent me. (I do love it when I learn something new!)
The Tip: You can actually use the 'Find and Edit Max CPCs' tool (found under the 'Tools' tab on Campaign Management pages) to find all keywords that match a certain status.
How?
Well, there is a radio button at the very bottom of that tool says "No changes. Just show me my keywords and CPCs". If you first define the campaigns/Ad Groups and 'match type and status' that you want to look at, and then select the "No changes. Just show me my keywords and CPCs" button, you'll have your list of keywords, and their location.
Let me know if this does the job for you. ;)

That tip works, thanks.
Think this will be continued in AdWords Features I'd like to see #3 [webmasterworld.com]
