Is it possible to enable Adwords for a search like:

www.domain.com
and
domain.com

Right now it won't show any ads when you do a search for a domain. Millions of people search for www.domain.com on Google instead of typing www.domain.com in the browser.

I believe Google is missing big on revenue here.

I think there will be a few issues with copyright/trademark if Google shows ads for www.domainname.com.

You know, I have an ad for a poral page we have that looks something like www.widgetads.com. It's basically where we send people who have special codes for special pricing on our site. It would be very difficult to get indexed so I list in instead.

When I search for widgetads.com, the ad does not come up BUT in my adwords stats for that ad, the keyword "widgetads.com" get quite a bit of traffic. Now I am wondering where that traffic is coming from.

I actually didn't even think to put up the ad until we had a customer call to complain that she couldn't get to our special site because when she typed in the url on google, nothing came up(Save me from stupid people, please!). Will the average user ever learn how to use the internet?

All of the major PPC search engines accept keywords like "www.domain.com" and "domain.com" (Overture ...).

Seems like Google missed to do it with Adwords.
