I have been trying to get the adwords up & running this weekend and I got a bunch of related keywords and a fairly large daily budget.

I keep increasing the daily budget and cpc, but all I get is "in trial" and warning signs. And the stats doesnt even show any movement at all. No clicks, no impressions, no nothing. How do they handle new clients, and what can I do to make them start running the ads and try them out?

Its hard to do anything before I have any stats to rely on. Its been 4 days and I havent seen nothing yet. "15 minutes" - yea right.

This is part of a new google enhancement of confusing and bewildering users. You are not alone. It makes no sense. Just do you best to work around it.

bonus,

Could there be any problem with your ad text? Make another one to be sure. Check if your stats are set to "all time". Search for your own keywords in Google a couple of times (check 2nd and 3th page too) to make sure the ad *can* be shown.

Add negative keywords and [exact] keywords to improve your chances.

Good luck!

Bonusbana, 'in trial' keywords should be showing your ads - so if they're not, I suspect there is something other than keyword status involved.

My guess: your keywords are sensitive in nature, and will need to be reviewed and approved before your ads show, even on Google.

How do they handle new clients, and what can I do to make them start running the ads and try them out?

Really, I'd suggest contacting AdWords support, who can take a look at your account in detail. On this Forum we're only able to make educated guesses (like mine, above) based on very limited info.

Thank you all for your answers.

I contacted the support, but no reply yet. I wouldnt think there is something wrong with the keywords - the ads are related to web design / coding and the keywords are very well known in the community. Some are more general, and some more specific.

Today when I logged in, there has been 27 impressions with one of the "in trial" keywords, and of course no clicks. No impressions and nothing with the other keywords.

Im going to wait for a reply and keep checking the logs for another few days, but then I will have to look elsewhere for advertising possibilities.

<added>I also tried doing an internal check at the adwords CP to see if the keywords would show in a search, and they all would. But they never do. I also tried making another ad with the same results.</added>

Bonusbana, sounds as if you are in a notoriously competitive arena - and makes me wonder about your daily budget, as compared to the recommended daily budget for your keyword list.

A difference between your actual budget and the recommended budget most often means your ads are not showing all the time. A really big difference can mean that your ads are hardly showing at all, as the system struggles to not exceed your budget.

Also, a low Max CPC can mean that your ads are not on the first page - so be sure to check following pages as well.
