Also, I am a bit confused on why they were going back and forth between in trial and normal, if I understand correctly in trial is to see if a keyword that isnt doign well will eventually go above or below .5% but these keywords have always been well above that so why were they being put on trial in the first place?
Thanks
edit:sorry I had to remove the keywords cause I saw in another thread that we arent supposed to say them, also if anyone knows where I can find a disabled keywords list could you tell me? I'd like to confirm if this is the reason they are getting disabled(although in my first email to support on why it was in trial they said nothing about it being forbidden, but also they really didnt answer my question, like usual)
okay, can someone do me a favor and explain something to me? I had thought that unchecking the content network under campaign settings meant your ad would only show on the google search network. If that is true then it would mean I would be seeing only stats from the Google Search network right? I am really frustrated right now because I just received a response from ad support that basically ignored everything I had said in my question and copy and pasted the basic reasons why it may seem as if my ctr is high but isnt. If unchecking content network still means that its on another network besides the search network, what exactly is the point?
Ucdawg12, I'd be happy to clarify that for you.
Basically, all ads begin by showing on Google, and then there are two partner networks on which your ads may also show:
* Search: many dozens of sites, such as AOL, Ask Jeeves, etc where your ads show on a search results page, when a user does a keyword search.
* Content: many thousands of sites, on which your ad is placed on a page of content regarding the same subject as your Ad Group. This is done based on an overview of all keywords in the Ad Group, as opposed to a single keyword.
So, if you have opted out of the content network, but are still in the search network, then your ad has the potential to show on many sites in addition to Google.
If you uncheck the boxes for both networks, then your ads'll show on Google alone.

Okay, I have had 2 keywords, very successful ones mind you, disabled today, both had are in campaigns with the content network disabled, so this is all from the search network, the two words were (keyword1) and (keyword2), (keyword1) had a 5.3% CTR(it had been back and forth between in trial and normal even with such a high CTR) and the (keyword2) had a 1.3% CTR. Could it be because of the words themselves? But wouldnt google have disabled them before they started rather then let me build a campaign around them? I know they disable the keyword ebay, but I didnt think they did that for (keyword1) and (keyword2). Also, why wait until today? These keywords had been doing well(and yes, their all time CTR rates are well above .5% as well) for the past week so I think they would have disabled them if there was some problem
with the word itself.
even couple of my keywords with 2.3% 1.3% ctr are disabled. Any one can clarify what other reasons could disable your keyword once accepted and running?
I'd like to make an important distinction between 'disabled' and 'disapproved' keywords:
* Disabled keywords have been turned off by the system because they have not met the minimum CTR standard, which is measured on Google alone. This is watched over by an automated algorithm, and not by a human being. Disabled keywords which have a 'high' CTR in the stats column are keywords which have not performed well on Google, but which have performed better on partner sites.
* Disapproved keywords are keywords which have been disapproved by an actual human being, during the review process. Disapproved keywords are actually pretty rare.
Also, I am a bit confused on why they were going back and forth between in trial and normal, if I understand correctly in trial is to see if a keyword that isnt doign well will eventually go above or below .5% but these keywords have always been well above that so why were they being put on trial in the first place?
This is because the performance of these keywords is close to the edge, as measured on Google alone. It is not unusual for keywords to move back and forth between 'normal' and 'in trial', and usually this means the keywords are a bit marginal in terms of their targeting to the ads that they bring up, or that they are too general.
For more information about 'in trial' and 'on hold' keyword status, please see msg. # 12 in this thread, from earlier in the day:

Open a second account and submit the disabled keywords. And when they get disabled from that account open a 3rd account, and so on and so forth.
That is the only way to ever get a keyword that has been disabled to work for you.
One of the keywords showed three impressions, then was disabled
AWA made a post here that may explain what is going on:
