I enrolled AW only a couple of days ago, two sites, and trying to wrap my head around the entire concept (which isn't done easily).
One of many questions I have is if there's a way to see where my various AdImages ends up? I have done all ads in all four sizes to make sure they're being delivered at all, but I would be thrilled to see where. Can I? If so, how (without, of course, do a Google for the search terms and then check every single site that shows up).
Cheers, and be patient with an ignoramus....

Now there isn't a way to see you ads on other sites just yet. But with the text ads in time you'll be able to use Google and search for the domain name that you used in your ad. Now this might work is your ad has been shown on premium Adsense partner sites at the same time that the Google spider has cached the site. So what you do is the search for the domain your advertising then you comb the results looking for pages that have your domain name on them and that you've not posted it to directly. When you find your domain name in the result click the Cache link and then you'll see your ad along with the site it was shown with.
I'm sure there will be an easier tool in the future, and at the same time I don't 100% know if this will work for the image ads, it does work for the text ads and as long as these premium part sites have opted to show image ads then you should be able to find yourself.
But that was a pretty far fetched and haphazard method, so I pass. :-)
The point was not really to see my image ad(s) in the proper context, but just to know what the context (i.e. the sites) are.
The further point is that the context of an ad is sometimes extremely important: You want to be seen in correct neighborhood. The wrong one can ruin the advertisers reputation. So I think and hope Google will find a way eventually.

I apologize for the haphazard solution I gave, as for your last question you control where you are placed by the terms you give.
If you’re really worried about where your going to be then I would target the sites that I want to be on by using there names as my keywords.
For example if I wanted to show up on Forbes and Forbes related websites I would build a separate campaign for my image ad and enter only the following keywords:
Forbes Magazine
Forbes.com
Forbes
Now my site would have to have some reason for these keywords like it was about business investments or such but I think you get the idea. On the same note if I simply put the term investing or business as my keyword my ad would end up showing on many other sites and many would have little or no relation to my ad.
The more you define your keywords the better Adwords can match you. If you wanted to get even further defined on my Forbes example say my site was about investing gin car dealerships I and I wanted to target Forbes I would use keywords like
Forbes cars
Forbes automobiles
Forbes automotive
Hope this answer was a little better
Thanks again. This might be a path to explore.
Cheers,
Dan
