Welcome to the AdWords Forum, icreon!

My google Adword account not updating it is showing same impressions as two days before. I created a new campaign yesterday also but no results in that campaign.

Sounds as if this may be a question for AdWords support, as it is awfully hard to say what could be going on without seeing the account.

If I had to take a guess, though, it would be that you are set to a 'date range' in the past. The 'date range' tool has a sticky setting, so, for example, if you were looking at your stats for single day at some point, that date range setting will stay on that single day until you actively change it.

I am also not able to see my add on google for any of the selected keywords. But my account is active.

Probably another case for AdWords support. But my best guesses are:

* Keywords are of a sensitive nature, and will not show your ads until reviewed and approved
* Although campaign is active, the ad itself is disapproved
* Daily Budget is lower than (or equal to) Max CPC

how do you know if your keywords are sensitive and your advertisement is being reviewed?

The topic of which keywords are likely to be sensitive has come up many times in the recent past, cystum - so a site search will be likely to net you a lot more detail.

However, in brief, sensitive keywords tend to be ones that might be associated with 'sensitive' issues, or 'at risk' groups. Some examples, to demonstrate the principle, would be words associated with gambling, pharmaceuticals/drugs, adult topics, and groups of people who are 'at risk' such as infants, children, teens, etc.

As to your second question, every single new or edited ad is reviewed. The ads typically will run on Google even before being reviewed, except for certain types of ads/keywords as noted above. Once reviewed and approved ads may then be sent to partner sites - or Google and partner sites, in the case of ads with sensitive keywords.

Hope that helps.

if your keywords fall into the sensitive category, how long do the reviews usually take?

AWA,

A review status somewhere in the user interface would still be much appriciated and is high on my list (especially with content turned off there is no way to see what the status is and sometimes ads do not get reviewed for quite some time). Anything planned in this area?

I can't really detail what's on the horizon, robsp. But I do certainly see the value of what you're suggesting, and will pass your feedback along, verbatim, later in the week. ;)

Oops, missed this one:

if your keywords fall into the sensitive category, how long do the reviews usually take?

Time-to-review is highly variable, and depends on volume.

Some tips:

* Ads are reviewed only on a very limited basis over the weekend, so submitting new or edited ads on Friday evening is to be avoided if at all possible.

* For quickest review, I'd suggest submitting your ads early in the morning (Pacific Time) in the middle of the week. Volume is typically lowest at that point.
