I'm new here, but after reading some threads, I would guess that most of you know what the "GoogleCash method" is. Linking Google AdWords directly to a website for which you are an affiliate and recieving a commission (hopefully).

I just have a few questions.

1. Do people actually make money doing that? I'd like to hear a testimonial or story from someone who isn't trying to sell me something at the moment.

2. How realistic would it be to try to earn $100/week doing it?

3. How many hours of work per week might that take on average?

4. Assuming it does work, how much money would be needed to get started?

5. Could one expect profits soon after starting or in a fairly short period of time? Nothing big, just not taking too much of a loss.

I'm curious. It sounds somewhat intriguing, but it also sounds like more work than some people would lead others to believe. It also seems like if it works, it was probably easier a couple years ago, before AdWords were as popular. But maybe not. I really don't know. Any thoughts?

I'm new to this forum and to Internet marketing in general.

But thanks for any replies.

Welcome to WW. We try not to mention specific tools here and I don't buy ebooks. From what I have heard of that book, you will get the same information by reading this forum. Yes, you could make $100/wk but you would need to find a profitable niche where the revenue exceeds the cost of advertising.

It takes lots of work, have a grand or two you can afford to lose (or Google coupons, maybe available at the upcoming conference in Vegas), if you put your mind to it $100+ per day is doable, it takes as much time as you want to put into it but if you don't put a lot of time into testing tons of keywords and merchants and landing page combinations its very difficult to get anywhere, if you start out slow and keep bids low you can usually hover around break even.

Sometimes it takes higher bids and more risk to start winning. It is basically gambling, at least at first, at the Google casino. :)

That book may or may not help, never read it or any others on AWords.

It probably takes as much work as building sites. You'll need cash flow to pay your advertising bills before you get affiliate payments.

You generally have to be very creative, find affiliate programs off the beaten path, find new ways that people express the need for something, think outside of your lifestyle in terms of economic status, geography, etc..

That may be the best answer to these questions I've ever read skibum. Well said!
