Will My Web Page Get Indexed If I Set Up An AdWords Ad For It?

A well-know marketer said this in a teleseminar I just heard.

I just heard a well-known Internet marketing expert say that if my page isn't indexed in Google's database, that I should set up an AdWords ad for that page and within minutes Google's spider will come by and soon it will be listed in Google's database and my page will now become searchable.

Is this true?

He also went on to say that I was not to confuse the "indexing" of may page with it ranking high for my keywords but that it would at least be indexed and that I may be ranked in the 1000th position for my keywords, but that then means that my page now has a chance of increasing in the rankings.

He said that Google does this (sends out their spider to index the page) so that they will know that the page is actually a real page.

He went on to say that he has seen evidence that Google's spider has come to his pages as soon as 30 seconds after setting up an AdWords ad for it.

Again, is this information accurate?

Thank you.

Pretty much, but not wholly, accurate.

I think he meant AdSense rather than Adwords, and the spider that arrives is not the "main" one.

The site may well get visited and indexed by the main one, but unless you get some good incoming links pretty quick, you may find yourself dropped from the index.

There may be a spider that comes to make sure there is a live page when a new ad is created but AdWordsAdvisor (a Google rep who regularly contributes to the forum here) has indicated that there is no conection between AdWords & the regular free listings.
