AdWords Smart Pricing (for content)

Does it discount $.05 keywords?

Since $.05 is the lowest you can bid on keywords, does the discounter give you clicks for less that that if the bids are at $.05?

Nope. Haven't seen it go below $0.05.

If there are two ads with both bidding at $0.05, I think both the advertisers will be charged $0.05 - with the ad position being determined by CTR x CPC factor.

if your bid is $0.05 you always pay $0.05, it won't get discounted.

Just to clarify, I'm pretty sure Skibum is referring to the content search discounter. The above answers might be correct - just wanted to make sure everyone was thinking the same thing here.

Thanks eWhisper. Was specifically wondering if $.05 ads are opted into content if they get discounted or $.05 is the minimum charged for both search and content.
