First of all Hi to everyone.
I've been using adwords for a year now :-) and was only alerted to this forum by a nice lady from the customer service dept at Google when my question couldn't be answered.
I found an historical disussion about Norton Internet Securities ad blocking setting not displaying the ad prpoerly, i.e. not being able to click through despite actually seeing the ad,but that didn't seem to be what was happening with mine....
Just recently my ad on my main pc started not displaying properly after a search, so after contacting customer support they explained about NIS ad blocking etc etc,but what i can't get an answer to is why its only my ad thats not displaying properly and only on my pc.I have 2 other computers in my office that share this connection, and presumably nis settings, and they display the ad properly.

>presumably nis settings

You need to get past the "presumably" part to find out what is going on.

The 'only your ad' part sounds a bit peculiar. Do you have the word ad or adwords in your Destination URL? If so, then that may be the cause.

The 'just your PC' part lends credence to the idea that it is NIS or similar. This is likely to be installed on a particular machine rather than something defined by your 'connection', in my experience.

I'm assuming it has nothing to do with the actual words as i've tried various combinations of words and even different ads relating to different subjects

Try running SpyBot: Search & Destroy as well as AdAware, just to make sure it isn't spyware/adware at work.

Nick the tent, when I posted the following:

I was actually not referring to keywords or ad text. Instead I was referring to the 'Destination URL' that you supplied for the Ad Group.

I've heard that NIS hunts for words like 'ad' in URLs, and if you're using a tracking component in your Destination URL, like 'source=adwords', that might explain why only your ad seemed to be affected.

Just a thought.

No i don't have any reference to the word 'ad' or 'adword' at all in the destination url or indeed the whole site. I guess the next port of call is symantec
