I don't want my AdWords on Netster!

Caught it in my logs, an adwords clickthrough from Netster. Eeew.

I tried calling AdWords, but they seem to be in a department meeting.

Yuck!

I didn't know we could choose which sites to be listed on.

Is this new?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Netster is a form of adware. It installs itself when you download and install a freebie program.

When you subsequently go to Yahoo or go to Google or any other search engine and do a search, my understanding is that Netster spawns a new browser with Paid Listings showing. Someone correct me if I am mistaken.

They seem to show their search page on mistyped or expired domains.

We do NOT bundle any “ad ware” with our free Netster® SmartBrowse Toolbar, NOR do we collect user data.

This is part of the DomainPark [google.com] program that Google runs, and allows those with many domains to display Adwords on their site. It originally started as an Applied Semantics program, and the keyword results were supplied by Overture.

Partners in DomainPark also include Register.com, VeriSign and Enom.
