I wonder why?

I can't add 'phrase' & 'exact' matches for keywords like; widge's (keywords with an apostrophe) when copied from a text file. (Throws "Some of your keywords are not accepted for the following reason: Non-standard characters are not allowed")

But, the same keywords can be added if individually typed out, under 'add keywords'

Is there way to get around this?

Thanks

What are you using to type your word list? It may not be real "plain text" I know if you MS Word and copy text with apostrophes they are not really apostrophes, but a special character that is used to make the curved character instead of just a straight mark. I run into this all the time when copying posts to some forums.

And yet another reason to use one of the notepad programs...
Forget Word - notepad can do it all for you..

Personally I like EditPad myself for an editor, but neither has spell check which is what I use them for when I'm composing longer messages for other forums. I am starting to just open a quick scratch message in TheBat email to write in since it's spellcheck is fairly good.

Actually, I use NoteTab Pro, which includes a spell checker, thesaurus, and various other functions. It has outline and tab features so I can have 30 documents open at once and know where they are and easily organize all my open material is my favorite use of it.

I'll have to check into NoteTab. I picked up EditPad as a programming editor a while back, and it works great on most tasks since I prefer plain text on anything that is not being printed. But then I was always a Wordstar, and early WordPerfect person... I just miss the spellcheck.
