I have been thinking of setting up a new campaign, with the same keywords, but a lower bid, so they should never show up in the serps (afaik you can't advertise twice on 1 keyword, and I'm assuming the higher bidding ad takes precendence), but enable content targetting for this campaign. My main concern is will this group eventually be disabled for 0% search CTR, even though it's not getting any impressions from search?
I don't want to appear to be trying to do a dodgy on google, I'm not. The reason I would like to run 2 different ads is because I believe that I can write something more appropriate for content-targetting, but don't want to change what I have in the serps.
AdWordsAdvisor, any chance in the future we will be able to create a different ad for content targetting?
The reason I was worried it might be seen as trying to cheat google is because I could be paying the minimal cost for content targetting if I set up a new campaign with content enabled, while on another campaign of duplicate keywords I could be getting the premium spot with a high CPC and content disabled.

TheDave, I really don't know. But I'll certainly pass your feedback on as a 'vote' to include this ability in the future.
As most of you know, I routinely pass on the product ideas/suggestions posted in this forum to the appropriate people here at Google. I'll do so with your idea tomorrow evening. ;)
