Got a modest amount to invest (1k) but I need to be able to set the total budget not the max daily. I have looked around but I cannot seem to find that option. Is it available, if so where?

Cheers and thanks

When you set up the account they give you the option. Is the UK on the new platform?

If you already have the campaign, you choose "edit campaign settings" and you can change it there.

Only got a daily option. My accounts people want to see the total and not me with a free credit card so to speak :)

Hmm... If you are getting clicks worth $10 a day, you can set the campaign to expire in 100 days. That way, you can limit the spend to $1000. A crude method that may not work.

thanks vib

This strikes me as absolute bollox. I have set the finish date and done it that way, but I know I am going to get a load of hassle of accounts when they get incremental debits from the card.

Why can I not just pay up front. Surely that sort of request is not beyond reason.

"here have all my money up front"

"dont be silly, we only want a bit at a time"

This is an option I wish Google would look into.

I've got some clients that use debit cards to manage their advertising so they don't go overbudget, but what happens is they don't know when G will charge them, so it's more difficult to anticipate adding their funds in time. But they'd gladly give G 2-3k a week in advance, and then know when their account needs to have funds added to it.

If you set your daily budget limit to £33.33 then your monthly total should be 30 X £33.33 = £1000.

Assuming you set the campaign up on the 1st of the month, if you use the campaign finish date you can set it one month from today (i.e. the 1st November) and you should spend no more than £1000, but you may spend less if you don't get the daily budget limit level exceeded by some margin in the first place.

Hope that helps.

If it was £3k then you could use an agency.

With your permission, I'll forward this thread to the product development team later this evening.

I assure you, other billing options are being under consideration/development. I can't pin-point a time frame, but please know this is being worked on.

If you want to continue to post your "billing options wish list" ideas here, I'll certainly pass them on.

Thanks!

The ability to deposit funds in advance by mailing in a check would be a plus, and one thing I do like about Overture.
