Okay all you AdWord Wizards, I have made a terrible mistake (well, at least right now it is terrible, maybe after some replies it won't feel so bad), instead of making GENERAL campaign headings and many AdGroups, I made many specific campaigns. Last night I hit the limit of 25. Am I los'en it or did that used to be 250.

And now for the question: Is there a way to covert a campaign into an AdGroup? Please, please, please?!?!?!

Q2: If I delete a campaign and add an Adgroup, will I lose any placement do to the CTR? I would think, YES.

Q3: Something that I have always wondered, does overall CTR of a campaign effect the placement of ads for specific KWDs (phrase) in that CAMPAIGN? Or is the CTR for that specific KWDs(phr) all that matters?

Thank you,

Eric

There is no way you can 'convert' a campaign into an adgroup through the interface. Drop a mail to Google and see if they can help you out.

Q2. Yes. Everything starts all over again.

Q3. Keyword CTR is used to determine the avg position, not campaign CTR.

Seriously, you are worrying too much. Just re-create the adgroup in one of your campaigns and go ahead and delete the rest of the campaigns. Since your ad copy, keyword grouping and adgroup max CPC remains the same, your will see the same results as before after sometime.

If you are worried about position, you can temporarily increase the adgroup max CPC and reduce it later when things fall back to normal.

i've run into this problem and the only negative I noticed was that you lose your content-targeted ad impressions until you hit the 1,000 impression mark.
