Hi,

three days ago I installed the Desktop Search, but the tray icon says that index update is still in progress - at 1%!

I restarted once in the last three days and the PC was running 24/7 - do I have to stop all running programs or what does Google define as "idle time"?

Any ideas? :(

Forgot to mention: I use Windows 2000 SP4, all security patches, 1 GB RAM, 200 GB HD space (130 GB in use).

As I understand it the update will only occur if the computer is idle.

If you have programs that run continuously then it would be best to pause them and give DTS a chance to catch up.

It's a great tool.
